I think we have communicated before regarding the claim that Martin Pitts who married Elizabeth Ray in Wilkes County, GA in 1812 was a son of John Pitts and Hannah Belton.I think that some of us have determined that this Martin would have been too old to have been a son of this couple.Also,I would be interested in the source of the name James.All I have ever seen is Martin with no middle name.I don't doubt that his name could have been Martin James but I would like to see documentation of this.
