Re: Christian Plopper's in New York and Wis.
I'm sorry it took me so long to find your question. I'm here on the site researching another question altogether.
I am also a descendant of Jacob Morser and Nancy Plopper.
Julia was a younger sister of Nancy.
Henry Plopper and Margaret Schaeffer's children were:
Mary, b. 1816, possibly d. 1836
John, 1817-1898, d. Sheboygan Co., WI
Stephen, 1820-1899, d. Van Buren Co., MI
Benjamin, 1822-1892, d. Waupaca Co., WI
William, 1825-1876, d. Onondaga Co., NY
Nancy, 1828-1891, d. Waupaca Co., WI
Amy, b.1831, d. unproven
Charles, b. 1835, d. 1862, battle of Antietam, Maryland
Julia, 1838-1871, d. Boone Co., IA
Maria, 1842-1879, d. Waupaca Co., WI
Carl, 1844-1847, buried Madison Co., NY
That's an extremely long generation!
The family began in Montgomery/Schoharie Counties, NY; moved to Lewis Co., NY about 1820, to Onondaga Co., NY (Cicero) about 1840, to Sheboygan Co., WI about 1847. Except William, who stayed in NY, and Stephen, who had gone to Michigan before the rest of the family went to Wisconsin.
I think I found a death record for Julia but am unsure of her birth date. Do you have a death date and place for James Waite? I found their family kind of accidentally - I think it was a grandson I found first, then was able to build the family pretty well after that.
