Re: PLOUGH in PA & ILL

Hi, I am wondering if you have found any information on this family? The only information I know is that Sophia Plough married William P. Holbert in Putnam Co. around 1854. William left the family after the 1870 census. William ended up in Kansas around 1875 and started another family here, at this time tere was a son Otis born who was my husband's grandfather.
William was shot in the Civil Was and was gone for a number of months and during this time we heard Sopia fostered out the children but in the 1870 cenus they are listed as a family and another child had been born.
John Alonza ended up here in Kansas with his father but we do not know what happened to the girls. So I'm needing help on the family. I hope you are still searching and wonder if you have found anything? Thank You Patricia Jantzen
