Geesje Jans brought with her two children of her first marriage to New Amsterdam.Pieter and Tryntje.Pieter married Rebecca Traphagen, and began the line of Ostranders.Tryntje , the sister of Pieter, married Mr Ploeg.
These marriages took place nearly 240 years ago.
