The only Eagle Plume I came across was somebody on the Flathead Reservation in MT. And, I think he lived not long ago. According to the National Park Service, U.S. Dept. of the Interior,it states that on May 13, 1607 the first ship arrived with 144 men under their article, The First Residents of Jamestown.Later I found only two women came the following year, and a few years later several women came to Jamestown. This article was under, "The Indispensable Role of Women at Jamestown.I'm not finding anywhere that Chief Eagle Plume anywhere else yet.In no historical documents I've been reading online say a word about Opechancanough having this other name that the whites would have pinned on him. I'm wondering when the Dodson family first heard of Jane Eagle Plume and he father being this chief, or Opechancanough.
