Paul Podgorski from St. Paul, MN
I am looking for more information about my Great Grandfather Paul (Pawel) Podgorski.I have that he came from Muzhylovychi, IAvoriv, L'viv, Ukraine. At the time the town was in Glacia which was the Austrian held portion of Poland.Spellings for the town vary some depending on the language it was written in.Musclovice is about the best pheonitic I can think of off hand.
He arrived in 1904 and came through Ellis Island.I have his record of coming into the US.I know he came alone and never wanted to talk about his past.He settled in St. Paul, MN and had two wives. His first wife died due to complications of child birth.I would assume he had brothers and sisters that were still back home or moved to other parts of the US.I am looking for anyone with information that can help me go back further or connect him to his siblings.
I have that his father was Joseph and his mother was Marie.Obviously, they would be in the polish spellings.
