Re marriage of John P.In John P's will he mentions a tract of land from Fisher Rice.Fisher didn't leave anything in his will to dau Elizabeth and I think she had already received her land upon marriage. This seems to point to Elizabeth being a Rice.I suppose it is possible that John married first Elizabeth Reed and secondly Elizabeth Rice. There is a gap in children unless there are some girls that have not been accounted for.Robert Anderson was born in 1796 and the next known child is Jefferson, born 1806.Jefferson named his first child Reice or Rice so I am pretty sure that Elizabeth Rice was his mother.
Do you know anything about the 3200 military land grant that John P had on Russell's Creek?Did he buy it or was he in the military?I have never found any reference to his serving in the revolutionary war but if he was born in 1760, he would have been the right age to serve. There are always more questions than answers. Thanks again for your help.
