I am a decendant of Benjamin Poling from Barbour Ct. WV circa 1827.I am looking to find the link between Benjamin and his father - maybe Samuel M. Poling circa 1767 who married Margaret Black.

When I find the link it will take my family back to Thomas Poland circa 1590 of Glouchestershire England.You may want to look at Clarrisa Tatterson book "The History and Genealogy of the Poling Family" although this follows Thomas you may find another branch for your family.
