Polk.The family ancestral line one generally finds out there being President James Knox Polk, then Samuel Polk, then Ezekiel Polk, then William Polk/Margaret Taylor, then William Polk/Ann-Nancy (Knox) Owens, the same couple in your query, then Robert Polk/Magdalen Tasker.However, the connection of William Polk who m. Margaret Taylor back to his supposed parents, William Polk/Ann-Nancy (Knox) Owens (a widow of William Owens), does not exist.The only children of William Polk & Ann-Nancy (Knox) Owens were:James, Jane, David and Elizabeth "Betsy"The children of James Strawbridge and Jane Polk were:Jane, Mary and I think, William.I am a bit iffy on this William Strawbridge.Jane Strawbridge I know nothing about.Mary Strawbridge married Jacob Williams and had several children of whom I know some spouses, but I really have not done much on tracing this line, just have not gotten to it.Any more questions, just ask.Bill Polk, Kansas City, MO.
