President Polk's great grandparents, William Polk/Margaret Taylor (James K. POlk - Father Samuel Polk - Grandfather - Ezekiel Polk) do not presently have a known ancestry.Likely William Polk (who may have been William Pollock) came from northern Ireland in the early 1730s, possibly 1720s.All the Polk ancestry one finds on the Internet about President Polk's line is wrong back before the aforementioned William Polk,this proven by research and DNA test results.Bill Polk, Kansas City, MO.
