I don't believe that James M. Polk, son of William Polk/Sarah Shoptaw is this same man discussed.James M., son of William/Sarah, married Josephine Miller 5 July 1886, Johnson Co., IN. and died between about 1889-1900, Josephine appearing as a widow with children in the 1900 census, Johnson Co., IN.Plus, this unknown James M. is quite a bit older than the son of William/Sarah, that son b. 1837.No easy answers to this one, it appears.Bill Polk, Kansas City.
