I am just getting start on tracing my family tree. My Grandmother on my mother side is also related to President Polk. She is fifth generation I think. She is no longer with us. She use to tell me stories about my heritge, but when you are young you no not listen very well. BUT I do remember a family tree that she had that looked very old and I belive it was from the 1800's. It showed President Polks name and siblings names. I will get in touch with my mother and find out where the family tree is at. Hope that she has it. Cross your fingers :). This Tree looked just like a tree. old blue print. You need a magnifing glass to see the names.
