In regards to your letting me know if you find anything about Virginia Polley, yes I would be interested.I hope you can find her grave.My husband and I have had a similar search for the grave of his 4ggrandmother in Pennsylvania.We went to the cemetery where her second husband was buried and found what looked like replacement gravestones for the second husband and his first wife, but only an empty spot for what we thought was my husband's 4g grandmother's gravesite.
She was listed in an earlier reading of the cemetery (these were deaths from the mid to late 1800's)so what we think happened was that the stones were either broken or deteriorated so that descendants of the second husband replaced the stones of their father and mother, but didn't bother with their step-mother.
Are there newspapers existing from the era and place of Virgina's death?Maybe there might be an obituary which would say where she was buried.
