James, we have e-mailed in the past.I have a question.I found a marriage record from the East Texas Family Record, Vol 4, Number 2, Summer, 1980, that states under Smith Co. Tex. marriages, thatW. A. Poston married Allie Dumas on March 9, 1902.It is listed in Book 15, page 153.
In 1910 on the Arkansas Federal Census, for Pulaskie Co., Little Rock, Ward 5, District 123, the following was found:
Poston, Willie A. (Born 1881 Texas) age 29, Female, Widowed Dumas, John (brother) age 26 married, Born in Texas Dumas Dave (brother) age 23 single, Born in Texas Dumas, Bertal (female) sister-in-law, age 22, born Ark. Looks as if Roxie, if this is she, stated that she was Mrs. Willie A. Dumas.
I think that this is Roxie Allie Dumas, daughter of A.E.S. and Martha (Mattie)(Guthery) Dumas and her brothers.
First do you agree that this is Roxie Allie Dumas, and when and where did William A. Poston, son of Edward G. Poston, of Henderson Co., die? I cannot find a death record for him.
I cannot find Roxie Allie in the 1920 census.
Maybe you can help.(Martha Guthery was a sister to my ggrandmother, Leah Catherine Guthery).
