Am researching my father's family - they are also Michigan Potters, and several of them were Detroit Police officers.Arey Potter, 6/28/02 - 10/13/63, was son of Lester Potter (m. Ida), no dates available, but obviously lived somewhere in 1870's.He had brothers Wellington and Clyde Potter - I believe all were Detroit police. Don't know if this helps, but hope so.
