Greg asked me to post this a while back.As I've heard my family tell the story, my GGGrandparents Christian Precht and Ana Bollmann lived in Leipzig, Germany. They had two boys:Heinrich (my GGrandfather b. 1870s?) and Karl.A girl broke Karl's heart, and he decided to move far away.Heinrich joined his brother and they both emigrated to Chile, South America.Karl stayed in Chile, where I believe there are Prechts to this day.Heinrich moved on to Bolivia and was involved in the rubber trade. He married Filomena Barron. They had three daughters: Graciela (my grandma Chela b. 1902), Rosita and Enrique.Graciela met Jose Zuazo.Heinrich said, "nacht Chela, Jose is not for you".Graciela married him anyway and lived a stoich life. They had three children: Rosario (my mom), Gloria, and Jose (died as a child). My mom and Gloria live in Santa Cruz Bolivia. They would be absolutely thrilled to learn about their German ancestry, and so would I.
