Taking the hint and looking in the 1850 census, I see two possibilities in the age range - each in the same family.I find a J. Price, age 17 in Taney County MO - this is adjacent to Ozark County MO.In the same family, I see a J. Price, age 5.They are the sons of another J. Price and E Price.Either fits the range of ages from 1838-1845 - with the youngest son fitting the best with a birth year of 1845.Either could work.
There is also a John Price, son of Hezikiah Price, born in 1843, KY, residing in Moniteau County MO.That is also a possible suspect. However, by proximity, Moniteau County is much further away than Taney County.
