There are several deeds in the Brunswick County VA deed book that cause me to suspect that the PRICE family of Brunswick County may be PRINCE.For instance, the following are of interest:
[pg 072][Deed Book 11, Part 1] 539-(237) Joseph Prince & his wife Mary to Thomas Moss of same. 28 Feb 1774. 26 p4 VA. 100 acres which was conveyed from Samuel Sexton & his wife Elizabeth to Cornelius Maby & then by several conveyances to sd Joseph Prince. Witnesses omitted. Proved 28 Feb 1774. Peter Pelham Jr CC
[pg 083][Deed Book 11, Part 2] 624-(348) John Prince & his wife Lucy of Brunswick Co to Wm Price of same. 7 Apr 1774. 106 VA. 200 acres as by patent to John Jackson Jr & by a second conveyance became the property of sd John Prince. Witnesses omitted. Proved 28 Nov 1774. P. Pelham Jr CC

Does this make sense?I have also found multiple deeds in Brunswick County for Rice Price. There are so many male Price's with a first name of John that it is hard to keep them all straight.
