Charles Primeau I believe was one of the founders of Fort Primeau.He was born in St Louis in 1814.His father was Paul Primeau, born in Canada in 1775, moved to St Louis in 1791, and was on the Lewis and Clark Expedition as one of the engages.I am a descendant of Charles' brother, Louis.They also had a brother Joseph (born in 1803) who was killed by Indians at the mouth of the Yellowstone River in 1835 and a brother Paul Jr.
