You state your Joseph Kelly had a father-in-law named Leven Speer.This means your Joseph Kelly married a Speer daughter, right?

You further state that Leven Speer died (I checked at rootsweb and see that he died 1801) and left estate papers which mention Leven's sons-in-law, and one particular son-in-law was William Chandler.This would mean that Willam Chandler had married a Speer daughter, right?

I am seeking a wife for my William Chandler born c1753 in Lunenburg Co, VA, to William Chandler Sr. and Delitia Cox.This Chandler line moved south across the VA border to Surry/Stokes Co, NC, about 1779.I believe William c1753 married in Surry/Stokes but have no record of it.Now I think he might have been the William Chandler who married one of Leven Speer's daughters?
