Peggy,
I am looking for family information on my Pringle line, starting with my Great-great-grandfather, William Pringle (b abt 1810), probably from Scotland or possibly from Northumberland.
Following information is what I have so far:
1.William Pringle(b. abt 1810) m. Ellen Sams. Their son William Pringle (#2) was b. abt 1840 in Newcastle, England.
2. William Pringle#2 m. Mary Murray in Newcastle, England about 1865. Their daughter, Ellen (Nell) Pringle [my Greatgrandmother] was born 31 May 1866 in Newcastle.
3.Ellen Pringle married Stephen Sams abt 1882 in Newcastle.
4. Ellen Pringle and Stephen Sams emigrated to Merlin, Ontario, Canada abt 1883. They had 13 children including my Grandmother, Alice Mary Jane Sams (1885-1959) Most of the family, including Alice Sams, moved to Michigan. Other moved to Montana while some stayed in Canada.
Any information on family ancestors, births, marriages, children will be greatfully appreciated.
