Hi,
I came to this Proudfoot genforum looking for "Masterton Proudfoot" having found "Ann b. 1789 Bedford, Westchester County, NY (wife of Masterton Proudfoot) md. Charles Bostwick in Ancestral File.
I had set out to find information about a Proudfoot that was in New Bruswick Canada in the early 1800s and married Elizabeth Taylor there, who, as Elizabeth Proudfoot, remarried John Canniff about 1816.
In her will this Elizabeth Taylor Proudfoot Canniff mentions a grandaughter Hannah Matilda Smith, who married George Luke BOSTWICK.
I knew there was a former marriage to a Proudfoot, so was interested in finding the two names Proudfoot and Bostwick connected in this marriage of Ann "widow of Masterton Proudfoot" to Charles Bostwick.
But it looks as if Ann PROUDFOOT, daughter of Laurence married Charles Bostwick, and where the Masterton comes in I can't say, but I would like to correspond with those researching this particular family.
