Sara, I have a book about the Proudfoots that was published in 1986.I am related thru your sames line.The information on Leanor is obscure but Dorsey Proudfoot did in fact find documentation connecting Leanor to the Hitt family of the Peter Hitt line.William Chester is the son of Abraham Alexander, my line.I would be happy to share what information I have.My Grandfather was John Herbert Proudfoot.
