My g5gf was a James Proudfoot, b @ 1690 in Methven, Pertshire, married Janet Imbrie, June 14, 1708 and had sons David, b. 1716, my g4gf Laurance, b. Aug. 25, 1717, Andrew, b. 1718 and Walter, b. 1719.Laurance had a son Laurence, b. July 24, 1743 in Methven, who came to New York City @1778.Others of the family also came to America.Is this of any help?
