Proudfoot in Georgia

I've got some Proudfoot line on my grandmother's side.

My grandmother was Lula Elizabeth Wells and she married Robert Franklin Carter, Liberty County early 1900's.One of her sisters was Leila Wells who married Grant Gideon Poppell.One of their children was Agnes Poppell, and she married a Frank Proudfoot.Their children were Betty Ann Proudfoot and Frank, Jr.

I got this information from The Groovers - from Ebenezer On (1734 - 1971), by Bob Groover.Bob Groover traced the lineage of the Groovers back to Peter Gruber and his settlements in Ebenezer NW of Savannah in Effingham County on the Savannah River.
