Proudfoot? I presume?

hi,
my name is Lynne Proudfoot. I was born in Brampton, Cumbria. My father is called Thomas Stanley Proudfoot. I do not know much about my family and i am interested in finding out as much as possible about my name. other names which may be of interest are Pashley, Latimer, Farish and Elliot although most of these names are from my mothers side.
if anyone has any information i would greatfully accept it.
