John & Leanor had 7 children, in order: Mary b 12June1787; John III b 1788; Elias b 1790; Abraham Alexander b 9Apr1791; William b 1794; James b 1796; and Thomas b 20Feb1803. James m 19Nov1827 in Harrison Co VA (now Barbour Co WV) Elizabeth Reed b Sept1809. They had 6 children: Arah Jane b 26Sep1828; Peter McGowen b 1830; Edith b 3Aug1832; Francis Reed b 18Aug1834; Matilda Ann b 27Jul1836 (my ancestor); and James William b 20Sep1838.
