George Proudfoot, late 1700s

I am trying to find out a little more about George Proudfoot, who was part of the surveying party that laid out Cleveland (Ohio) and the Western Reserve for the Connecticut Land Company in 1796.The party was under the direction of Moses Cleaveland.It is thought that George may have been from Albany, NY.
