Hope this gets you started.I have a lot more info and can take you farther back in the family tree.I may have as much info on the Washington Co Missouri PROVINCEs as anyone...haven't found many individuals researching this line.My Grandfather (Walter M. PROVINCE - deceased) has a half-brother still living in western Missouri (Jewel PROVINCE) who has also done research, however, I have never compared notes with him. I was born and raised in St.Louis, but spent many summers on my grandfathers farm in Washington Co Missouri.
Joseph Elbert PROVINCE:born Washington Co, Missouri 5 December 1851; died 19 March 1948 and is burried at Campbell-Forrester Cemetery in Washington Co, Missouri.
Emily Jane (Dutch) GREGORY (wife to Joseph E. PROVINCE):born 8 May 1855; died 3 november 1904 and is burried at same location.
