Re: Unicorn/ Capt. Ackland
Well, it's been two years and no one has responded to my post. I've come to the conclusion that there is no validity to the Unicorn. There's one kernel (pun intended) of truth in that this ship came to America in 1750, but there's no evidence that my Prunty Family was aboard. This apparently phony information came from the Holmes-Corey Genealogical Research Company, supposedly located in the early 1980s on Marco Island, Florida. I believe this company was actually a coat-of-arms distributor, the Holmes-Corey Ltd. Inc., which was operated out of the Guarino Family's home in Debary, Florida. I believe the 1750 immigration date that many Prunty researchers use is based on the fraudulent Unicorn document this company produced and should be discarded in the future.
