During the period 2000-2005 at least four Pugh researchers were working on this line.I can only tell you that their research indicated that John FM Pugh was the son of Isaac & Mary Ann Winters(Winser).I cannot verify their work as I did not cite their references.You can go to the "search in the Pugh GenForum" and type in:
"Isaac Pugh Chambers Co, Alabama"
"Mary Ann Winters"
"John FM Pugh"
"Otwell" and other connectiones.

This should bring up most of the postings for this family and give you a good idea where their info came from, to include "census records" for John F M.

In their postings John F M Pugh's wife, Elizabeth Otwells parents are listed as John B Atwell, b abt 1810 in Georgia and mother Phoebe Bennett, b abt 1811 in South Carolina.
