Dennis, please contact me at my e-mail address. I am most interested in what you have on your JAMES PUGH. I am descended from James FEW b/1746 in Baltimore CO, MD the second son of William and Mary (Wheeler) Few, Quakers. In 1758 they moved to their home on Eno River 7 miles east of Hillsborough, Orange CO NC (Alamance). James was a Captian of the Regulators. He was married to Sally (Sarah) Wood and they had twins,William and Sarah. James father, William Few paid dearly for going bond for Herman Husband (erswhile leader of the Regulators) and facing legal and finincial difficulties after the defeatat Alamance, he took his family to Georgia. James Few was the one who was put to the gallows at Hillsborough. His wife remarried to a Tory; his children were raised by his brother's family and William Few Jr. (James brother) went on to become a member of the Continental Congress, a signer of the Constitution and the first U.S.Senator from Georgia. I have found no proof of James having a sister Mary who married Herman Husband. Have you been able to prove this? It is curious that William paupered himself for Husband if there was no kinship, however James was a follower of Herman's ideology and they could have just been close friends. I know the name has appeared spelled many different ways in census etc., however we know that William and Mary were James parents and his siblings were: Benjamin; William Jr.;Ignatius;Hannah; and Elizabeth. Please let me know what you have on your Thomas and Elizabeth. I look forward to hearing from you.
