My brother is a participant in the Ancestry DNA project and 1 of his closest matches is a PUGH from 9 generationsor 225 years ago.My brother is also adopted.His real name is CHAPMAN.All we have is that his grandfather was Edward Hollis CHAPMAN born in the 1880s in or around Birmingham , Alabama.We believe he married Emma Katherine or Catherine WALTON or ALLMAN. We have heard his father may have been a William CHAPMAN.We wish we could find some closer relatives to help us see how we tie in with the PUGHs.Would appreciate any help.
