I'm interested in your WARREN surname! Okay. One thing at a time!
My surname is my married name. I have not done much research on my husband's side, as he does not have much to go on. I can give you a short history though. My husband was adopted in about 1956 or so. He is a Korean War baby, Korean mother and black American serviceman. I have no information on his birth parents.
His adopted name, KEA, came out of Georgia. His adopted mother's name was Lillian Whiteside. His father was William Kea. I can try to get the vitals of his parents and maybe you can trace it back from there.
On the WARREN name, my fourth great grandmother was Mary Ann Warren, supposedly born in NC about 1760. Married Jacob Hawk, unknown place of birth, died 1824 in Warren County, TN. This is the Hawk/Warren family in the very extensive Combs-Family.org site.
In the Pugh line, when does your Native American blood enter the line?
