I haven't followed all the branches of the Pugh family to its full extent, only my own line.There is a good bet your Willoughby is from the branch that descends from Lewis Pugh (1678 - 1741) because of the unusual name.Lewis Pugh's son, Willoughby Pugh (1711-1790) had 9 children that we know of so far. Willoughbydied in Charlotte County, VA. I do not know with absolute certainty where all of his children ended up but I know that his son Willoughby Pugh eventually ends up in South Carolina but the son who comes to mind is one of the younger sons,Young Pugh.He moved to Tennessee and lived there until his death about 1835.
