OBIT; Pulaski Rites Held Here on Tuesday
Ernest J. Pulaski, a long time resident of Divide County, died Saturday, April 9th, at St. Luke's hospital in Crosby, at the age of 88 years. He had been hospitalized only a few days.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 12th, at 2 p.m., at Stakston's Funeral Chapel in Crosby, with Rev. Austin nauman as the officiating clergyman. The soloist, Paul Rogen, sang a couple of favorite hymns. Burial was beside his favorite hymns. Burial was beside his favorite hymns. Burial was beside his wife in Concordia City cemetery with Stakston Funeral Home of Crosby in charge of arrangements. Serving as pallbearers were Kenneth Haugland, Clarence Blake, Arthur Cary, John Tysse Sr., Frank Carlson and Thomas Carlson.
Ernest James Pulaski was born Feb. 20th, 1878 at Chatfield, Minn., where he spent the early years of his life and grew to manhood. He moved to Portal in 1904 and in 1909, moved to the Colgan area, where he took up a homestead.
In 1910, he was united in marriage to Gladys Humes, and they lived on the homestead until 1924, when they moved to Crosby, where Mrs. Pulaski continued to live here until August 1962, when he moved to the good Samaritan Home in Noonan.
Survivors are six children, Glen N. of Long Beach, Calif., Ellen Buchem of Monmouth, Ore., Ross of Big Pine, Calif., Dale of Washougal, Wash., Vern of Dove, Colo., and Mildred of Minot, 11 grandchildren and one great granddaughter, two brothers, Fred and Roy and a sister, Cora.
Besides his wife he was preceded in death by brothers Earl and Harold and a sister, Nora.
The daughter, Mildred and a son, Dale came to attend the last sad rites.
