Probably no connection but my gg grandfather, Matthew Hunter Bryson married Mahala Pulliam, daughter of Benjamin Pulliam in either Anderson or Abbeville Co SC in 1840 and they moved to old Tippah County, MS between New Albany and Ripley abt 1851. They moved to MS and were shown in the Oktibbeha Co. MS census in 1850 and she died shortly after moving to Tippah County and is buried in the Ebenezer ARP Cemetery on the Union/Tippah County line. Don't know if any of Mahala's relatives moved with the them to MS, but if so they probably came from SC in the mid 1800's. If you get a lead please let me know since I'm trying to find Matthew's family from Laurens SC and having little luck but might could trace through the Pulliam connection.
Thanks,
