Resided near Sparta, Sussex Co. NJ until 1856. Then moved near Walnut Valley, Warren Co. NJ. Was married at Harmoney, NJ on 25 Oct 1856. On or about the year 1849 located land near Nepolian (spelling?) Henry Co. Ohio and rec’d warrant for same. Applicant declared he was born at City of NY and lived in County of Sussex, state of NJ. He is 62 years, 5’4” tall, light complexion, blue eyes, dark hair and was a farmer. Survivors Pension Claim by Harriet Pullis Cert. dated Sept. 26, 1895. Wifes maiden name: Read. She died 25 Oct 1909 and was bur. Cedar Ridge Cemetery, NJ. She died of pnuemonia. Son: Read Pullis, dealer in dry goods, groceries, boots, shoes, hardware etc. in Blairstown, Warren Co., New Jersey in 1910.
