MARY PUNCH IS DEAD Passes Away at Her Home in Ellsworth Pk, Cambridge, After a Few Days' Illness of Pneumonia Mrs. Mary Punch, widow of Patrick J. Punch, died at her home, 14 Ellsworth Park, Cambridge, early Monday morning of pneumonia after a few days' illness. Mrs. Punch had a large circle of friends in Boston as well as Cambridge, having been a resident of the West end for many years previous to going to Cambridge, where she resided for 15 years. Born in Ireland, she came to this coutry when very young and settled in Concord, N.H. where she was married. She was loved for her mildness and motherly characteristics by all with whom she came in touch, particularly those in need. Mrs. Punch leaves a large family, among whom are James A. Punch of the Boston Globe; Thomas F., editor of the Catholic Citizen of Chelsea; Frank J., of the Boston Herald and Albert Punch of Dorchester. The funeral will take place on Wednesday morning and a requiem mass will be celebrated at the church of St. Mary of the Annunciation, on Norfolk St. at 9.
