Couple of notices from Newberry SC newspapers:

1: Dan B. Purifoy Representative of Edgefield lost his house and all contents to fire, no insurance. Newberry Observer, 6/12/1895
2: James Purifoy, son of Honorable D.B. Purifoy of Edgefield, was thrown by a mule 3/17/1889 and fractured his leg above the knee. Newberry Herald, 3/21/1889.
