Hello again. I just found this morning another listing of Capt. Paul J. Purifoy, notice name change spelling.

Marriages and Death Notices from the Southern Christian Advocate 1837-1860, page 344, Issue of June 30,1854.

Died near Charleston 9 June, Captain Paul J. Purifoy, of the bark Como, in the 26th year of his age...A. Peurifoy.
