Yes, I know about Saluda being separated from Edgefield. I have been searching SC for over 30 years. Searching for my Mamie Peurifoy Allen, I have turned over every leaf and rock that has been suggested to me. It just seems impossible that someone who was born in 1882 and died in 1912 does not show on more records. SC did not require dc's until 1915.

I only use the computer for the census on Ancestry. I'm only 20/25 minutes from the archives so mostly go there for my doc's. I've been to newspapers, funeral homes, archive records of hospitals, church records, cemetery records, land records and on and on.

What are some of the out of the box areas I can search?
All I need to do is show her as the d/o William Bascom Peurifoy and I am in. I have one document that shows her listed on the Butler church record under her father but that is the only paper clue.I have always known her history because my grandmother took me to her grave and W B's grave to place flowers there since I was 11 years old.

Any suggestions much appreciated.Terry
