Eliza Putz? Putt? m. Solomon Lynn Defiance, Bedford PA c. 1842

Searching for a Solomon Lynn who married an *Eliza Putz* or PUTT, which may be spelled incorrectly. They lived in Defiance and their daughter Nancy Ann Lynn married William Henry Carothers of Saxton. Wm parents and nieces and nephew (plus more)are buried in Fockler Cemetery.

Nancy's children are all listed (14) with their families on my ancestry tree as well as Wm's line, except for one brother, Charles who I can not locate after 1880s when he buries two daughters in Fockler.

We have found quite a bit on Wm and his family but the dates for every Nancy Lynn don't seem to work. Her oldest daughter gave the information at Nancy's death so one would think she would know the names of her grandparents. We know her maiden name was Lynn and the death cert says 'Saul' so I have been looking for Solomon. Her mother's name was listed as Eliza Putz but as they could barely read or write we have been looking for Putt, thinking they were 'saying' Putts. Wm father's was from Ireland so Nancy could have been Irish or English.

The Carothers are found first in Woodbury but later settle down in Saxton and most marry spouses from this area.
