Hello Mary, it has been a while since we last spoke and I thought I would e-mail you with some of the new info that I have..Eli & Isabella had 6 children: June(she also went by feaby jane(she married Robert Pierce), William (S?), John M(my g-g-grandfather), Tennessee(she married W.T. Doherty-or some spelling of that, they have a daughter sidney who is buried in Dedman cemetary not to far from John;she died when she was about 7 years old), Sarah E.(went by the name of Elizabeth, and Robert(he was born after Eli died). Eli or E.J(as he is written on the 1860 census in Arkansas) died later that year and Robert was born in 1861. I found them on the 1870 Census in Ouachita county, Ark. Isabella is going by eliza and their last name is spelled Qualls, page 6, line 35 house hold 47. On the 1860 census they are in Calhoun county, Caswell township, page 56/Image 660,line 27, house 205. My granfather said that one of John's brothers went by the name Sam and that he was told that both went to texas when they were older, I have not been able to prove this since I do not know who either one of them married.
