I wonder if we have a connection? The first Thomas Quayle was married to a Letitia Kelly.
THOMAS QUAYLE (1837MarownIofM-d. after 1891Liverpool) was a lamplighter in Liverpool, Lancashire. His wife was MARY ANN QUAYLE (nee BELL b.1835 in Douglas,IofM- d. Liverpool). Their children were WILLIAM T., ROBERT HUGH QUAYLE (b.1872Liverpool-d.1922 in the US--my grandfather), FRANK, ELEANOR J., & EMMA, all born in Liverpool, Lancashire. This family lived in the Everton section of Liverpool. William T. Quayle was a stationer in 1891, and Robert Hugh was a stockbroker clerk in 1891 (possibly a cotton broker later). Eleanor was a seamstress. ROBERT HUGH QUAYLE came to Portsmouth, VA, USA, in 1914 with his wife and children, but died in 1922 here. When he left the UK, he listed his brother FRANK as his closest relative; Frank was then living in Bootle, Lancashire.
The parents of the above Thomas Quayle were THOMAS QUAYLE (1807-1880Marown--farm overseer and surveyor) and LETITIA KELLY (1814-1879Marown). Parents of above Mary Ann Bell were WILLIAM BELL, (b.1797 in PeelIofM--a cooper),Kirk Braddan, Isle of Man and ELEANOR GARRETT (b.1800 in England).
