Quein Family Honey Brook (Waynesburg) Pa
Have just discovered my direct maternal line of Quein. James Quein was born on board ship near Philadelphia in 1790, while his parents were emigrating from Ireland. He helped to establish the Waynesburg (now Honey Brook) Methodist Church in 1823. His wife was Elizabeth (Betsey) Klingaman. They are both buried in the Methodist Cemetery in Honey Brook. Early records consistantly spell the name as Queen, why or when the name was changed is still unknown. My line to date: 1.James Quein 1790-1850 M. Elizabeth Klingaman,2. Robert Quein 1820-1904 M. Emeline Morrison,3. John Wanamaker Quein 1847-1930 M. Sarah E. Wooden Murphy, 4. George Algernon Quein 1878-1922 M. Blanche Morgan Martel, Eleanor Quein Turner 1919- M.
