Re: Quillia descendants
I saw your post today and wanted to get in touch.
I am a descendant of Ida Quillia Champagne.
My family is from Worcester, MA. My father grew up on Gate Street and his name is Floyd Gerard Champagne. His Father isalso Floyd Champagne. Floyd's twin brother is Benjamin.
Floyd John was the son of Eugene & Emmal Champagne. Eugene was born Nov. 1888 in Malone, New York. This is where Floyd was also born. Floyd's siblings were, Benjamin,
Theresa, Maurice, Jeannie Evelyn, Veronica, and Barbara L.
Eugene's parents - John B. Champagne and Ida M.
His siblings were Edward J. born March 11, 189? Died January 26, 1936
Roy (I think his real name was Royal)
Maude (I think she was born April 23, 1902 will have to check into it)
John B. was born August 16, 1865 Malone, New York and died March 9, 1940
Ida M. was born September 4, 1867 and died December 31, 1940
John, Ida and Edward are all buried in Section 6 Notre Dame Cemetery, Malone, New York
John's Father - Peter Champagne
Mother - many spellings on this, Rosa, Rosalie, Josetti.
Both Peter and Rosa were born in Canada
John's siblings, which I am sure there were others but this is all I could find. Dennis, Joseph, Josephine, Julius, Marcellus, Matilda, Peter, Samuel, and Mary.
John, Samuel and Mary ended up in Mass. Mary married Joseph H. Lemay and lived in Springfield. There children were Walter, Melvin, Clarence, Irving and Harold. Samuel lived in Worcester with his wife Margaret. The had a son Joseph and a daughter called Flora Amelia or Amelia Flora. They also adopted a girl in 1929 named Loretta. (I can bet this was Amelia's child, she was not married, but maybe not) John's brother Peter died in 1916 living his wife Felicite with 12 children. I think they lived in Canada but are buried in Notre Dame Cemetery Section 7.
I have 2 sons, named Benjamin and Joseph. In the next week or so, my wife Ali and I will have our first daughter, Maria Rose Champagne.
I hope that we can correspond.
