Thank you for the reply. Oops,I noticed in my posted note I forgot the year of birth for Catherine Ralston b. March 31 1828 in Brooke co VA married Samuel A.B. McCelland in Seneca co OH, her parents Samuel & Elizabeth Parks Ralston who first moved to Holmes co OH after 1830 census they were in Brooke co Va & in 1840 Seneca co OH where they are buried. I believe his father was Joseph Ralston who was born abt 1765 the son of Joseph & Jean _?_ Ralston.

Beers history of Washington co PA, bio on my Ralston family from Kings Creek, early Ohio co VA then Brooke co VA-
says early Joseph b. in Scotland came with his wife to America before the Amer Rev war & he took his wife & 2 young sons to Fort Pitt for safety from the Indian's while he worked the land on Kings Creek.
By 1783 Joseph & his 2 sons Joseph & Samuel have settled lots of acres on Kings creek. One of the land papers says that Joseph Jr. had a settlement on Kings Creek in 1775..so they were in this area that early time period. The 2 brothers had abt 28 kids between them & I've been researching those lines & the other early Ralstons in the area of Western Pa to see if any might connect with my early Joseph.

Do you know the dates of the Seminole treaty? That is interesting info of them being from the Carolina Colonies. Where did you find that info?Do you have dates on the marriages your mentioned in your post?

In Allegeny Co PA JohnRalston p 126 Byardstol twp, & Robert p. 365 Franklin is the first time I find a listing of Ralstons in this county....
1840 Allegeny co PA= John p 403 Pittsburg, & Joseph 145 Mifflin,

I have collected alot of info on the Ralstons in Washington co PA too- early wills, marriages census info if I can help let me know.I don't have any Ralston will listings from Allegeny co PA have you checked these records yet?

James father David Buchanan b. 1791 Salem twp founder of the Pres Church at Conguity, lived there 80 yrs then moved to Peoria co Ill where he died in 1880, his wife Margaret McBride died there July 29, 1872 at age 80 yrs 9 kids;

David Buchanan father of Ireland, found in the Westmoreland co Pa history p. 659...

I'm trying to find out more info on this Jane Buchanan & Samuel Ralston- dates on when they died & where they are buried.

I also have bits on a Robert Ralston who wife was Margaret McBride...who were in western PA- looking for where they are buried.
There is also a John Ralston who married Jane Buchanan Apr 1832 in Chester listed in the IGI's of PA.

Hope some of this could help you in your searching too.
