Re: Ramanuskas from Lithuania in 1880's
Hi. In your message, I noted some variations in the surname Ramanauskas, like Ramanoskis.
My greatgrandpa was born in Russia and his name was Jonas Romanosk. When he came to Lithuania, his surname changed to Ramanauskas, maybe because of the linguistics variations. His wife was from Belarus and her name was Rosalija (Rozaliej?) Ramanauskas. I don't know her maiden surname.
Is there anything related to your family? Any information will be welcome.
