Looking for Eva Ranco/Rancourt, Maine.Was the mother of Rachel Marie Laborne b. Gagetown New Brunswick, Canada January 1896.The birth record only records the father, Daniel Frances Laborne and the mother's name was blank.My Grandmother always said her mothers name was Eva and that she died giving birth to her and that Eva was from Damariscotta Maine.My grandmother was raised by housekeepers until she married my grandfather Joe Toney, a Micmac from Nova Scotia.My family are registered Indians and grammies birth lists her father Daniel as Indian.If anyone can shed any light on my "Eva" I would appreciate it.I thought Abraham Rancourt and Josephine Brackett could have been her parents but others say not.Bracketts were Indians in different parts of USA.I recently had my mtDNA done and it is Haplogroup C, Native American.So, Eva's mother was Indian as well.
